James Bond: Agent 007

The 22 (soon to be 23) Eon Productions James Bond films make up the longest-running and second most profitable film series of all time (surpassed only in profit by the Harry Potter films). To date, six different actors have played James Bond, the super spy MI6 agent, but no matter who’s inhabiting the role, you can count on Bond to kill bad guys, blow stuff up, and make sweet sweet love to the ladies.

In the beginning of this year, I embarked upon a viewing of the Bond series, having only seen the Daniel Craig iterations in my adult life. Though I stopped watching them midway through the year, I’ve picked it back up and have set a viewing schedule in order to watch and review all 22 films before the release of the 23rd, Skyfall, on November 9th. These are my reviews:

  • Sean Connery Bond

    • 1962: Dr. No
      • In which Bond travels to Jamaica and uncovers a plot against an American space launch
      • Final AC rating: 8.5/10
    • 1963: From Russia with Love
      • In which Bond travels to Turkey to assist a (conveniently beautiful) defecting Soviet spy
